4/01/21 Fitness Center Update: We are happy to share that Yolo County has moved into the orange tier. This means fitness centers in Yolo County can increase capacity from 10% to 25%. We are also happy to share that our entire staff at Physical Edge has received both doses of the COVID vaccination.
Protocol for Physical Edge Gym: All gym members will need to reserve their gym time at https://physicaledge.getomnify.com . Please note: you can sign up for gym time 2 weeks in advance.
Gym Members with 6-12 month Memberships: We will continue to adjust membership expirations for those members who return to the gym as well as suspend memberships for those who are not ready to return at this time.
Month-to-Month Memberships: All monthly EFTS resumed March 1, 2021 unless they were canceled.
Gym Hours: Monday – Friday: 7 am – 6 pm. We will be closely watching Governor Newsom’s four tier classification system to determine how we move forward. We will also be evaluating attendance as well as the demand for additional hours to determine when we increase hours of operation.
What to expect:
We understand that gym use looks very different from what it looked like prior to COVID-19. Although it may take some effort to create and adjust to a new fitness routine, regular physical activity can help you optimize your health and well-being during the coronavirus pandemic.
We look forward to supporting your efforts and making the time you spend at Physical Edge safe, enjoyable and rewarding.

History of Physical Edge:
A Davis Fixture since 2003, Physical Edge has been voted the city’s best provider of physical therapy by readers of The Davis Enterprise.
Formerly located on Lake Boulevard in West Davis, Physical Edge moved to Drew Avenue in South Davis in 2006, bringing its entire staff together and providing owners Mathew and Marianne Moore – Davis residents since childhood – an opportunity to expand their services. Currently, the business comprises six physical therapists, a physical therapy assistant, a chiropractor and fitness staff.
“We rehabilitate using a functional movement model.” says Marianne Moore. “The system promotes collaboration between performance and rehabilitation professionals through the use of two tools – the Functional Movement Screen and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
“Both tools evaluate movement but are separated by a clear distinct marker. That marker is pain. If movement produces pain, the individual would be sent through SFMA. Is pain is not present, the FMS is the appropriate tool, which is used primarily by personal trainers and strength coaches”
Physical Edge also prides itself on being a teaching facility, working with several universities to provide 12-week clinical instructions and mentorship programs to physical therapy students.
“We would like to thank our wonderful clients and patients who voted for us and support our business,” Moore says. “We are truly touched and look forward to serving our community for many years to come.”
