Massage Therapy

Massage has numerous health benefits. In fact, massage can help you maintain physical, mental and emotional well being, especially when it is part of your regular wellness routine. The different types of massage therapy that we offer at Physical Edge include:

Swedish massage: This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize you.

Deep-tissue massage: This massage technique uses slower, more forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, commonly to help with muscle damage from injuries.

Sports massage: This is similar to Swedish massage but is geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries.

Medical massage: This is a form of therapeutic massage that addresses specific conditions. The therapist sets out to improve a condition that was diagnosed by a doctor using a variety of massage techniques. This form of massage can be used to treat a number of conditions including, but not limited to: low back pain, chronic tension & anxiety, fibromyalgia, M. piriformis syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome (wrist & hand pain), migraine, neck, arm & shoulder restrictions with associated pain & numbness, arthritis, injuries; new & old.
